I have an 11 year gap, in that there are 11 years between DS1 and DD. As there are two other children in between them I can't comment on all of your concerns.

I can however tell you how incredibly beautiful it is to see DS1 with his sister. His love and care for her is just amazing to watch, as is the knowledge that when she is older she'll be cared for and supported not just by her parents, but by her adult sibling as well.
