Jessesgirl: thanks, I am doing fine for now had a scare with bleeding on Thurs night but all has been fine since then thank goodness! Yes I've had 2 intralipid infusions with this last cycle, the second one was done about a week after my BFP. Nothing to worry about, no side effects whatsoever, took about 2 1/2 - 3 hours each time. The arm stung alittle when the stuff was going in but totally manageable and really helps if they put a heat pack on the arm so ask for it. Good luck.

Peoniesarepretty: All the best for your blood test tomorrow, let us know how you go And regarding pessaries, well I am on 6 per day so definately 2 or 3 is not the limit, that's rubbish. I have 3 in morning and 3 at night. My progesterone levels are 435 which is massive I was told by my IVF nurse but I was still told to continue with the 6 per day.

Thanks jessegirl & maryz. Unfortunately no conclusive answer yet. I'll copy/paste what I already typed out in the other thread too.

AFM: Well it's still up in the air, I'm afraid. Just got my results from today's BT. HCG has gone up but not as much as it should. It is 266, compared to 182 on Fri. FS rang me himself, and said at least it's going in the right direction and is not toooo bad, just not as much as we'd like. But amazingly, the progesterone has only gone up one point, from 22 to 23, despite me doubling the dose. WTF? He didn't seem too negative about that, strangely. He said above 20 is feasible, but would like to see more obviously. I notice the bleeding really eases off after I use a pessary, so it is doing something but it's not absorbing into my blood ****** obviously. He wasn't keen on the idea of progesterone injections though, but he did tell me to keep using 4 pessaries. (I told the nurse this morning I used 4 instead of 3 and they didn't seem to mind that at all).

Nothing I can do except rest, and have another BT on Wed. On bed/couch rest for today & tomorrow. FS agreed that it is a possible explanation that it might have split and now one is disappearing but the other still going ... but Wed's result will show us what direction things are going I guss. He said the pregnancy is trying to take hold, but all I can do is just wait & see what happens and be prepared for the possibility of miscarriage. He also said he has seen plenty of pregnancies where the levels were a little bit slow to grow at first and then just took off. And he said he just did a scan on someone who had some bleeding but now, 2 weeks later it has all cleared up & everything is fine. He was giving more of a positive viewpoint than the nurses, who seem to be all about expecting the worst.

Peoniesarepretty: Oh I know how stressful and agonizing these waits for the blood tests are. Fingers crossed your HCG takes off! Mine was a touch slow on the second blood test too, only rose by 60 percent in 3 days but then did take off. I hope that embie sticks tight ) Get lots of rest !

Peoniesarepretty: Nope I had some minor bleeding/ implantation spotting about a week after my 5 day transfer. That lasted for a day and a half. Then just last week (6wks 6days) I had bleeding for a good several hours in the evening but it was completely gone by morning. It's real scary the bleeding cause you just have no idea what's going on so I really feel for you hun!! I was utterly freaking out till we heard the heartbeat last Friday. Keep taking those pessaries and as I said I'm on 6 per day. Did you have 1 or 2 embies transferred??? I agree with the doc, the bleeding may be the loss of a twin and that's why your levels are going up alittle slower. Don't give up. Fingers crossed

Thanks Maryz. This spotting did start approx 7 or 8 days after my 5 day transfer too. Then on 9dp5dt it turned into bleeding. It has definitely lessened heaps now, after 5 days ... but there are still bits of red blood. It was actually my thought that it might be vanishing twin, and the FS agreed with me that it could be a possible explanation, and that is was probably the best case explanation right now. I only had 1 embie transferred, but it was ICSId and was a hatching blastie.

Anyway, had a much better BT today. Progesterone has risen to 32 and HCG to 491 - which is not quite double but very close. Good news! Another BT on Friday ... but looks like the will to fight is strong in this one.

Saw the FS while we were there for the BT. He said he hoped the bleeding was an implantation bleed ... but surely that wouldn't go for this long? And I already had definite positive HPTs before the spotting started, so wouldn't implantation have occurred before the HCG level rose enough to be detected by a HPT?

Peoniesarepretty: Sounds like you got a strong one hanging in there!! Great blood test results. I agree there's HCG before it can be detected by hpt. Make sure you're getting heaps of rest.

AFM: I have been in agony in pain since midnight last night. Got admitted into hospital 7am this morning with a suspected ruptured cyst. Unbearable pain all day and vomiting. The painkillers hardly help. I'm likely to be in hospital for several days. Worst pain ever in my life!! Started spotting again tonight so very worried. They doing scan tomorrow to see if everything ok. Fingers crossed!
