oh how exciting!! The pill is a rather 'easy' part of the process it's not very hard on your body as essentially it's a low dose hormone. Still can play with your feelings about things so make sure you take 'you' time such as yoga or meditation to chill when you can.

Green apple funny you should say that I do Accupuncture once a week and I am going to start meditating once a week! Trying really hard to relax more!

I know it's very hard to relax when the whole thing is very stressful. I remember my last cycle I did (the lucky one) I was so out of it, I felt I unattached myself from IVF and the whole process which I think relaxed me more. There wasn't a mention of it in the house that month and the day I had FET I bawled my eyes out during the transfer like a baby. It was however relaxing to have a good cry and let myself feel human. Part of me thinks this could of been what put me into the best chance of luck

What I am saying is, I know it's hard on your body and it's very stressful trying to make all these appointments, pills, pricks and the rest of it, but find that extra time for you. Just lay on the couch and stare at the roof and go to bed a half hour early and just lay there and drift your mind off elsewhere. It can be very calming for the mind!

I wish us all the luck, after going to the IVF clinic today I felt seriously depressed and upset for everyone going through this. I wish we all get our BFP's and nature returns our fertility

hubba - that's terrible! We're at IVFA now too, only because our reason for doing this is because my DH has azoospermia. There is a doctor who is an expert at "finding sperm" through a surgical procedure, Dr Golovsky, and he works out of IVFA. So because we need him to do DH's procedure I am doing the cycle through them, seeing Dr Gavin Kemball. He is nice, and has certainly taken the time to answer our questions. Just ask if you can see someone else instead. The thing that annoys me about IVFA though is all the administrative stuff ups. They seem quite hopeless around simple things like printing out results for the doctors, getting appointment times correct, etc, We've had a few bad experiences around that already and it doesn't fill me with confidence! Especially as we also need the donor sperm as a backup, in case we don't find any in DH. So we're on the waiting list for that too. Worried there'll be some administrative mistake around that.

To be honest, we previously saw Dr Mark Livingstone at Genea & liked him the best. I was referred to him by my GP when she discovered I had fibroids, for Mark to advise what to do as a gyn ... not for IVF purposes. But while we were there Mark ran a full set of tests on both of us, just to check if everything else was ok in case that affected my decision to have the surgery to remove the fibroids. Well, that's how we discovered DH's sperm issues, but decided to go ahead with my surgery anyway. To be honest, if it wasn't for the fact that Dr G might be able to help DH & works with IVFA, and also the fact that Genea don't have donor sperm, I would totally be seeing Mark for this. We really liked him & really trusted him. So if you want to move away from IVFA altogether, maybe try him.

Wow emmylou81, that is awesome, this guy couldnt care less

Thanx for that peoniesarepretty, im swapping to Genea next time and will look Dr Livingstone up, i have a blood test with ivfa to see if i fot my BFP but ive decided to not even go back for the BT, im just gonna go to my normal GP i think.

I know exactly what u mean about the stuff ups, i had an appointment to get everything started and they just cancelled on me, i tried to swap to Dr Quinn in the same practice, he saw me once but was not there all the time so when it came to Egg Collection and transfer i was already with Tucker, he was always nice enough but i just felt i was a number and nothing was ever explained properly to me, ive learnt more on the internet.

Thats great that Dr Livingstone ran the tests so you ended up finding out a bit earlier than u would of normally.

    When will you start cycling?

Ladies I am so sorry you are having an awful time with your FS, especially considering how much $$ your spend on this treatment, you expect at least not to feel pushed out the door definitely time to change if you can!

I am soooo blessed my FS (Dr Hossam Elzeiny) is by far one of the best specialists I have EVER met. He is very prompt with timing, professional, calm and relaxing and does an expert job when it comes to doing his 'thing' I have never felt like a pain or rushed when I have been under his care. He even makes time for me in the most inconvenient of times for him. I wish there were more passionate dr's out there like him.

Injections are starting tomorrow morning at 7:30am, time is just flying by, DP is getting home from O/S on Tuesday morning after being away for a week and a half, so really excited to see him. He is so excited to be going for number 2, maybe it is all the extra BD we do during the cycle that he misses? Who knows, but again so blessed to have a supportive partner
