Default WOAH..... there are 2!! but Im worried, anyone know much about twins?

I cant believe it, I am so thrilled, I was petrified after my miscarriage a few months ago that it was going to happen again so I was all prepared to be told I had lost another one but instead.... there are 2!!!

I am worried however that one sac is quite a lot smaller than the other and the smaller baby is measuring 2 days younger... does anyone know what this means? the lady doing the scan seemed to down play it but mothers intuition tells me not to get too excited yet??? anyone know??

    Congratulations!!!! WOW!!

I have nearly 1yr old boy/girls twins. It has been the hardest thing I've ever done, but to have twins is such a blessing and twins are very special.

    How many weeks are you?

Probably one of the best things I did during my pregnancy was to stock up the freezer....even one year on, I still don't have time to cook dinner every day, and rely on pulling something out of the freezer.

Also, I made sure everything was ready by the end of the second trimester as there was a high chance of them coming early (they were 6 weeks premmie), but also, I had absolutely no energy by the later stages, and was very big and uncomfortable, with lots of fluid on board.

Good luck with your pregnancy, I hope it is trouble-free and you all staying healthy and well-rested.

    Very exciting!!!!!

A smaller sac could mean that you ovulated twice, DTD on seperate occasions and caught both eggs a few days a part.

Or, it could be bad news... but that isn't always the case.

There is a multiples section of the forum that I will link you to in a moment- but for now-

    Congratulations!!!

Congrats I wouldn't be too concerned... I had Monochorionic/Diamniotic ID twin girls, and at some scans they could be measuring anywhere from 2 days to 1 week apart and they were fine

Thanks Ladies, I feel a little bit better having heard that, Im just so nervous having lost my last one. I am only 7 wks 2 days, thought I was a little bit further but scan says not so!

It appears I did ovulate twice, 2 seperate sacs, so I have released 2 eggs. Just concerned about the sac being so much smaller but I suppose I can not control it, only time will tell. Cant wait to get to 12 weeks all a ok.
