    Default Cramps?

    My DH just had a really bad cramp in his upper leg I got him some froaen veges to put on it to help but that didnt work so what works anyone know?

    And just one other question I reckon he got it from going dirt bike riding for 6hours (he never goes for that long and he only recently bought the bike the week of christmas) but he doesnt think so, what do you think?

    I think heat and stretching are better for cramps. He may have burned up all of his salts through. Sweating while riding so he might need something like a gatorade or something.

    Stretch stretch stretch, even tho it kills. As soon as i feel a cramp coming on (i get them in my calves when i asleep) but i instantly wake up, jump to my feet and jog on the spot, gets the blood pumping throuh it and helps get rid of it before it has a chance to kill me lol

    ^^ This I get the same horrid cramps during the night.

    The stretching hurts but it does help get rid if the cramp.

    Agree with PP's. Also, if it hurts too much to stretch then massaging it first helps. Massage to help prevent can help too.

    Buy tissue salts from the chemist. I think they are magnesium and I find that tonic water eases mine.

    I was told by my middie to eat bananas and drink tonic water (as lolz83 has said) because they're high in potassium.
