    1) How much do you/did your Doula charge?
    $800

2)What payment methods do you offer/where you given?
I paid a $100 deposit a few weeks after my first visit and then I gave her the rest of the money a few weeks before my due date.

3)what exactly does/did the service include (how many visits, approx total hours ect)
2-3 home visits (as long as i wanted her here) I could send her a message or call her at any time of the day if I had any questions or if I was feeling nervous about the delivery. She also had a little library of books she offered about pregnancy, labour, etc.

    4) other services offered by doula? (like massage therapy for example)
Massage therapy, baby massage classes, nutrition advice.

5)how did you find (word of mouth, advertising)your doula?
There was some doula website I came across. It had a list of doulas to contact.

    6) what was the best support your Doula gave you and/or your partner?
She was amazing! I wouldn't have been able to doit without her. I was induced and I was really scared. As soon as she walked in, I started to cry and she was so warming and very much like a mother. She popped on her lavender oil in her oil burner, she put on very relaxing meditation music, got her oil out and started to massage my feet. I felt relaxed instantly. She would massage my back and shoulder during and in between contractions, she kept both DH and I very calm and made sure I got exactly what I needed. She made sure I was hydrated, made sure I let go of the gas so I wouldn't pass out, she'd feed me ice and mashed potatoes. She was amazing.

7)what would make the service even better?
Going in there with an open mind. I mean that the doula needs to have an open mind. She was very much of an "earth mother." I'm all for organic foods, breastfeeding and what not but she made me feel guilty for having a piece of chocolate & for eating the hospitals mashed potato. If parents tell you they want to co sleep, use controlled crying, BF, FF, use a dummy, don't want to use a dummy, you just go with it.
