    Default Cymbalta

After seeing the dr yesterday and finally being listened to I have started on Cymbalta.
Is anyone else here on this? What has your eepxerienve been? I a, worried about gaining weight. It seems so trivial but it terrifies me.

Hi there I too am on Cymbalta, and have been for about 6 months. I have had no weight gain in that time, and my Doctor specifically put me on cymbalta as it doesn't make you gain weight (as I was already overweight when I started, and I didn't want to gain even more! and I havent) Other than that, I feel it works really well. I haven't had ANY negative experiences while I've been using it. Hope it works as well for you
    First year passed!

Hi! I hope I can be of some help

I was on cymbalta for a year and have just come off it about a couple of months ago. I found it worked well for me, as soon as I started taking it I felt better. I didn't have any weight gain, in fact I lost 8kgs from loss of appetite in the first 2 months of being on it, after that it settled. I only recently came off it because I felt that I no longer needed to be on it as if wasn't really giving me a lift like it used to in the end.
I'm now on anti anxiety tablets but they're making me feel depressed, so I'm thinking of going back on cymbalta!

My DH is on Cymbalta, after being on Mirtazipine and Ciprimil for years. He had probs with weight gain/increased appetite on the Mirtazipine, but is finding the Cymbalta excellent.

Good Luck and I hope it works for you!

Resurrecting/hijacking this thread for the potential of more replies?

The Doc prescribed it for me as I'm battling to lose weight. I'm currently on Lexapro and that combined with being on The Pill has made my libido pretty non-existent. We're also going to try the Implanon.

Has Cymbalta reduced/affected anyone's libido? Anyone been on both Cymbalta and had the Implanon?
