    Default Prenatal vitamins

    Hi!

    DH and I are veryexcited to be TTC#2.

    Am going to by some prenatal vitamins tomorrow, but there are so many to choose from! I cant even remember what I took last time...

    any advice?

    I use Elevit. It's expensive, but one of the best. Make sure which ever one you get contains iodine, as this is important for brain development. And plenty of folate! You could get DH some Menevit too, to help him swimmers

    Just make sure they are pregnancy specific as there are certain vitamins that you don't want an excess of in pregnancy (like vitamin A). They also need to contain a min of 500mcg of folate.

    Lots of people on here take elevit or swisse. Just a warning that most of these tablets are huge, so if you struggle to take big tablets maybe just take a folate supplement alone as they are small - but nothing beats taking the full multivitamin.

    I would get elevit (for you) and menevit (for him). at the very least you should be taking folic acid (megafol is good!).
