I love the Meat on the Menu cookbook.
But honestly, I mostly use the net for recipes. I love forumthermomix and recipecommunity and also just google 'thermomix' and whatever dish I want to make or ingredient I need to use up

    this!

(although I go between using teh books and the net - I have meat on the menu, In the Mix, tatse of asia, getting the raw rainbow book soon, and have a couple of 'booklets' from cooking night...I wouldn't mind the vegetarian book.)

there are sooo many blogs too.

I love the online recipe forum - last thing I whipped up was choc orange sorbet to have for dessert after we had TMX fried rice using the varoma..the sauce that you cook the rice in was saved and used to cook chicken and left over fried rice in teh next night.

I've tried this but there are SO many that I don't know where to start! I'm also old fashioned when it comes to recipes and love a cookbook

Would anyone be willing to swap cookbooks with me? I've got the vegetarian one, and don't use it, so would love to swap it for one of the others.

My DH is a chef and they had a demo at his work a couple of weeks ago. I hadn't ever mentioned the thermomix to him because I thought he'd Just brush it off as another appliance that I don't need..

He came home and said that he'd seen this machine at work and it would be useless at work but would be really good for someone like me who likes to cook lots of different things at home!

I told him I'd been looking at them online and recipes on forums and similar but that $2000 was so much money that I didn't know if it'd be worth it.. He then went on to tell me that they have payment plans to pay them off!!

So now I want one!! I'm going to wait a little longer and then once this bub is born (I'm 30 weeks with #4) and he seriously looks at getting FIFO work I'll remind him how much easier it's make things for me :-)

Which class did you go to FITB? They only have "back to basics" on in my area, and I think I'm a bit past the basics (have had my thermy for a year now).

Just a local one ran by consultants, basically we sit and watch, chat, discuss and get fed! ( I know there is one a bit further from home that focus on raw stuff - eg, they use seaweed in place of salt etc, so a bit more specialised. )
If someone new to tmx is there they pop up and do some hands on, making custard for example.

Today was 'xmas in july' - we had choc sorbet, raspberry and limeade, butter, pesto dip, beetroot feta caramelised balsamic vinegar and baby spinach salad, honey butter on brioche, smoked salmon soup, 60 second fruit cake.
All very ' basic' really... But still inspiring.

Can I ask you thermo owners a couple of q?

First can you really make coffee in it - as in a nice cappuccino or latte?

i had more questions but have forgotten, might be back.
