My 2 1/2yr old LOVES Green Eggs and Ham by Dr Suess. If he could have it his way we would read it 20 times and never be bored. He points to the plate of Green eggs and ham, and licks his lips. Too cute.
He also likes the Hairy Maclary books.
He likes the classics like the 3 little pigs.

my 15mth old loves any "touch and feel" book. Also 'lift the flaps' books.
We have lots of 'cheapie' hard books for her on her own accessible bookshelf. Some even without words, yet she will sit there and babble away as if there are!
Also have older books on a higher shelf but if she is looking up at them, i wont hesitate to get them down and read them with her. She likes the DR.Seus pictures and pictures in Alice in Wonderland book, so i dont have to read the whole story, i can even make a short stroy up. Im also teaching her to be careful with the 'big' books and to look after them.

Books are wonderful. Nothing better than sitting on a comfy couch snugglig with books and creating an imagination in your little one!
