You know I said that as a joke but i was just thinking... "No I really am that shallow." There is a baby boomer couple living behind us and they introduced us to their son who is my age and the guy was a babe. If I was single and he wanted to go on a date and had been to prison, you know it's likely I would say yes.

Yeah the more I think of it, the answer's more a yes.

Babe who's been to jail > Non babe who's never been to jail.

This. It's actually pretty hard to go to jail without priors, in which case this shows they didn't learn... and the one strike and you're out is usually reserved for murderers and rapists.

I would like to say it would depend on the crime. For example drugs, and the guy is clean and sober. Honestly I'd probably say no but I'm not 100% either way.

If I knew he had been in jail definitely not but what are the chances of a guy saying on a first date "Oh just to let you know I was in jail for 3 years". An interesting question would be would you stay with a man you loved if he told you after a year of being together that he had been in jail? Hmmmm...

But what if someone was setting you up with the guy and said so and so was in jail for 6 months blah blah

I think it would be worse if you dated him for a whole year and fell in love with him and then he said oh by the way I have been in jail.
