Go to your room for 5 minutes
    TV off

These two are the most effective!

    Different things for different kids.

DS is 9 - so mainly its time out to calm down. removal of privileges. Usually he goes to his room and writes me a letter.

DD is 7 so we use less discipline and more reward. she gets stars for good behaviour and earns things.

Beryl is 2 so she is mainly just talked too and removed from situations..so time out but on the couch with me. not alone.

im struggling with discipline atm, having so many changes to ds's routine has made him very cheeky, im about to go to a 1-2-3 magic course, and hopefully that will give me some tips

what i currently do is distraction and using the naughty chair, i guess it depends on the severity of the crime, i have given ds a small smack in the past

DD is only 19mths, so at the moment it is removal of whatever she is playing with as well as removal of attention for bad behaviour. When she starts to behave again she gets lots of attention/ positive reinforcement.
