    My father sent it to me because he was meant to be the worst dog in the world, which was the label given to my dog who was a year old by then.

    I didn't mind the movie, but I certainly didn't find it sad or have any emotional reaction to it. It was just a mindless 2-ish hours.

    My then 7 or 8 year old daughter asked to watch it the next night so she went to her room and then came down bawling her eyes out. I couldn't figure out what was wrong until she said "Marley died!" haha It just did not occur to me or DH that it might upset her as we don't get emotional over animals at all.
