My partner and I never buy each other gifts. We have come to the mutual agreement that we are both happy and satisfied with the life we have. We live a simple life and to us material gifts are rather meaningless as we already have what we need. So in saying that I don't think it would ever happen because we have this agreement in place to avoid these issues.

Yep, mine did. He is really sweet and adores me so it's hard to be mad - but seriously, it has caused a bit of stress! He booked a holiday to Thailand and Cambodia! Only half paid it off (some tours and airfares) when he told me and it has been such a stress paying the rest (accommodation etc), and spending money. We are seriously struggling as it is, let alone adding an overseas trip. He really has no sense when it comes to money! It drives me insane! I am excited though lol! He booked a tour of Ankor Wat (sp?), a tour to the long neck tribe, a trek to a floating village, elephant treks etc! How we're going to do all this with a 19 month old though, I have no idea
