    Default KFC mayo??

    is the mayo they use on the KFC twister wraps safe during pregnancy? I get confused with the mayo rules

    Yes, its ok.

    The only thing to worry about with mayo or dressings (such as caesar etc) is if they're homemade whether that be in a cafe/restaurant or home and are made with raw eggs, which is the reason why most pregnant women avoid mayo.

    You'll find with all the fast food outlets like KFC, McDonalds etc, they buy in their mayo and aren't made with raw eggs as such.

    With KFC I would be more cautious about the pre cooked chicken more than anything else.

    Any mayo that comes packaged in a jars/squeezie bottle should be fine. If you go to a restaurant & the menu says it is made on site, I'd probably skip it. I agree with the PP - I haven't eaten any KFC during my pregnancies because I'm too paranoid about the chicken sitting around. But that is just me though. I plan to get DH to bring a bucket to the hospital once I've had bubs though .

    The mayo itself isn't the problem, it's the lettuce, and the unknown length of time it's been sitting under the warmer.

    this^^ i ask for mine to be made fresh, they legally cant say no, just have to make you wait for it to be cooked. if i get take away and its not freshly made i wont eat it.
