    Default Help with car restraints!!

I just bought DS1 a new carseat, its a booster that you use a normal seat belt with (I know not the middle one is to be used, only the proper side ones with the chest strap). Anyway, he is 4.5 and over 18kg so is this ok?

DS2 is going into DS1s old seat which has a 5 point safety harness. He is 14 months old and is over 12kg...okay?

Age wise sounds fine but check seats for weight limits. Different seats have different weight ranges.

Yep they are the correct size for those restraints. I have only recently put my own LO in a booster seat but she has to be in the middle. I have a full seatbelt on that seat but her door can't be used because our car was hit on that side and I don't want to use the road side.

Oh good. I had a squiz, the Odyssey is from 8kg-26kg so all good for DS2 and the new HiPod is fine for DS1. Phew!

Do you have to use the protecta harness thing if she is in the middle or is that not needed cos of her age?

No I don't have one yet but insurance will replace the Maxi Rider with another Maxi Rider but for now we have the Infa Secure booster with no harness however I have a proper belt in the middle not a lap-only belt.
