Default How long did it take to lose your baby weight?

When I was full term I was no heavier than my before preg weight. I then lost 16kgs in a week after the birth.

Sadly I bunged that all on a year later through bad food choices etc.

Default How long did it take to lose your baby weight?

I came out of hospital 11kg lighter than my pre baby weight... Granted I was about 94kg when I fell preg, had pre eclampsia which developed into HELLP syndrome, and had her at 26wks.. So not a path I would want for others
Now in the 60s and UTD again... Hoping to put on minimal but will stay healthy!

Hi, I feel your pain. I don't think it's an age thing though.
With DS, I was 26 and lost weight slowly in the first couple of months but then it just didn't budge without a big effort. Fully breastfeeding too. I think some women's bodies just hold into fat for emergency milk production or something.
I'm expecting DS2 in 5 weeks, not looking fwd to the long weight kiss time again.

Was very lucky to have lost the weight I put on and more within a month (fully breast fed DD1) Just lucky I guess, it's the only time I am ever slim without having to put in major effort! Hoping for the same luck this time!

im so envious of u girls who lose weight quickly!!! im convinced its some weird hormone thing (low oestrogen) or something that makes my body hold onto lard when BF....some ppl have told me that they didnt start to lose significant weight til BF for 9 months etc....but i just signed up to the michelle bridges program, i just have to suck it up ..ive always had to keep tabs on my weight but now its OTT!!

Keep in mind that those who lose weight quickly are more likely to answer a thread like this. Lots of women take much longer to shed the kilos.
I tend to eat more when breastfeeding, because it makes me so hungry, so i don't expect to lose weight while feeding. I've never really understood how breastfeeding makes woman lose weight tbh.

My OB said it takes 9 months to get that way, 9 months to get back to normal (internally too). Seems to have been accurate for me!

Only because I rarely in these types of threads because I'm told 'shut up' in a :P way.

    DD1 - 4 hours. I swear to God.
    DD2 - 2 days. Yep.
    DS - A bit longer, a week.

But, I've always been thin, no matter what I ate. If I get sick I lose weight, and I tend to stick around the same number once I'm better. I'd love to be able to gain weight easily without being pregnant but it doesn't seem possible.
