2 weeks doing nothing but breastfeeding every 2 hours! Then within 7 months of having her I had gained roughly 20kgs. It took me 7 months to lose that! 12 kgs with WW then another 13 kg on my own exercising 30 mins everyday on a very healthy low fat low carb diet.

Wow my post is still going and so is my weight loss challenge. Nothing I do seems to help me lose the last 4 kilos! No matter how well I eat or the amount of walking and hills I do and DS is 5 months old. Still 64kgs and would love to get to 60kgs...pre preg was 59kgs but I'll be happy with 60. I think my problem is that I had a lot more muscle tone prior to pregnancy and hence could burn fat better and had better metabolism but now my muscle is fat and so I'm joining the gym to solve that problem. Thanks everyone for replying to my post!!!!

I put on 23 kg during my pregnancy and DS weighed 3.4kg at birth. I had to see my OB 2 weeks post-birth, and had lost 13kg in that time. I must have retained more fluid than I thought, and was also breastfeeding DS what felt like constantly. Such rapid loss left me with saggy skin on my tummy - oh well, no more bikinis for me! What a shame...

The last 10kg took me 6 months to lose - I ate well and walked for at least an hour a day not by choice but because it was the only way to get DS to sleep.

I then lost another 3 or 4kg while still breastfeeding, but came back up to "normal" weight once I stopped breastfeeding at 17 months. Now I'm not breastfeeding, I've found it much harder not to put on weight this winter!

Default How long did it take to lose your baby weight?

12 days for me, my tummy already looks the same as before I was pregnant! I started doing abdominal crunches as soon as he was born, and I've always been naturally very skinny so it's different for the individual I suppose.

I put on 15.5 but don't look too fat compared to pre-pregnancy (51kg at 162cm tall) so I wan to keep some of these kgs actually as i can afford to put on more weight.

am quite lucky tummy is almost back to flat at day 14 after birth.

I was 60kg post pregnancy and got to 78kg. I lost about 10kg in the birth and have about 3kg to go. I mostly eat well and go to the gym most days. I fit into most of my clothes other than a couple pairs of jeans. I'm giving myself to the end if the year to get back to pre-pregnancy weight. I don't really think breastfeeding has made much difference for me.

About 9 months, but during that time I became lactose intolerant.... Which if you know about lactose intolerance... You can imagine how often I was running to the loo! (I did eventually figure out that lactose was the problem and now live dairy free)
