Just popping in to wish you all the best Haydos -- can't wait to hear how it all goes.

AFM -- still waiting for something to happen, having mild cramps. Will also be induced next week if nothing happens in the meantime. Looks like bubs is just way too comfortable inside atm!!

Default Long Term IVFers finally pregnant!

Thanks everyone Our baby girl Charlotte Elizabeth was born this morning at 1125 am weighing 3.820 kg (approx 8 pounds 6 ounces), and is 50cm.
I was induced last night and up most of the night with cramps and contractions. I was assessed this morning and thought I had been overreacting to the pain but I was 7cm dilated already. I then had an epidural but 3 hours later she hadn't progressed further and her heart rate was really low on and off and she was facing the wrong way so I had to have an emergency caesar, turns out she was stuck and also had the umbilical cord round her neck, but she is here now and safe and sound so we're really really happy!!!!!!

Thanks Frostysmum and Fionaalice! She was a week late. We're still in hospital but will upload a pic when I'm home next week.

    All the best cjm! xx

Default Long Term IVFers finally pregnant!

Yay, after a sleep deprived few days we seem to have our routine down pat... well close anyway, so things are settling down now. Cjm - after just going through this, my advice would be give yourself a break and don't expect the first few days when you're really tired all the time to be easy and just fit in what you can and accept help from the midwives. And try and get a routine a few days in so you don't feel like you're on a treadmill that never stops.
That's what's worked for us anyway, but everyone is different.
Hanging out for your news when it happens!
