Hi, I sometimes take a look and peek in at threads eventhough I am no longer doing IVF. I was a long termer who packed up the needles and then conceived naturally.

I just wanted to quickly say congrats to fionaalice. We had some pretty similar experiences around the same time and it was beautiful to see your name again and with such happy news. Congratulations!!!!

Marzi - that would have been good
So you must have about 10 days left now? I love that new thread idea.

Frostysmum - re the breastfeeding my sister said she was told to use breastmilk rather than any creams and she didn't have an issues, just wondering if you've tried this and if so did it work?

    Fionaalice - Congratulations!!!
So happy for you? Is Wayan because he is the firstborn? He is just gorgeous!

Cjm1 - how're you going? I'm doing the work countdown too, 3 weeks to go for me and as I'm getting more uncomfortable I'm really hanging out to finish.

    Hi ladies

I've been a bit quiet on BH lately but I have been checking in. A big congrats to Frostysmum and Fionaalice - it must be so rewarding to finally hold your bubs in your arms. I looked at your photos Fiona - Indy is just beautiful.

My pregnancy has been going fairly smoothly, although I have placenta praevia (and my OB is fairly certain it won't improve before the end), so I have a tentative caesar date of 23rd October, almost 3 weeks early. So, although it's always felt like my EDD is so far away, my caesar date is only 3 months from today - so it's feeling very real to me now.

I hope everyone else is doing well. Marzi - not long at all now for you, so exciting!

    You know what's weird?
after all this time TTC, I'm really freaking out about the birth and beyond stage.
ive loved being pregnant and I'll miss my belly for sure! Will not miss the reflux of morning sickness mind!!
im really exited to meet my lil man, just hope I'm 'ready'. It's just taken soo long to get here, I don't want to be rubbish at it.

Did a tour of the labor ward last weekend, really nice. Was all I could do to concentrate on listening to the nurse as there was a cute lil boy in the nursery babbling away. DH feels now that at least he knows where to take me. I think the men need to feel they have a bit of control in looking after us. So sweet, bless.

Haydos, 3 weeks! Hope you are managing to put your feet up. I went a bit nuts and have washed all baby stuff and even ironed his sheets!
may I suggest a pregnancy massage. I had a few and was a very great way to get me relaxed. Even went home for a nap after :-)

RB, a c-sect, is good hun. It will be the safest way of meeting bubs if your placenta stays put. Also with the regementedness of ivf, i found it good to know ahead of time an exact date.
    When do you finish work?
How is your baby brain going? Mine is off the charts I think! I tried to put the milk away in the microwave, and knew it was wrong only as it wouldn't fit! Apparently, the BBQ is called the outside microwave and carrots belong in the freezer! And yet we are still allowed to drive haha

Sorry to hi-jack your thread again. It is a thread a have read a bit as it felt like the closest thing to home for me. I was a longer termer but was no longer doing IVF. I felt a little out of place in a "normal" thread as some of my concerns and fears were different because of the longhaul of IVF and TTC. Please excuse me if I just butt in to thank Kismet and fionaalice for their well-wishes. Thank you both!

This pregnancy has been such a lovely surprise and I too consider it a miracle. I am always hesitant to use the term natural conception as we all know that natural selection also plays a huge roll in any type of assisted conception as well. I can't believe in my first every FS appoinmtent I was concerned that doing IVF eleminated natural selection! I was sure wrong there! However we get these little ones they are very, very welcome!!!

In answer to your question about due dates fionaalice I am due 13 November, so 24 weeks yesterday. I can't remember if I mentioned that we know the baby is a little girl. Both my husband and I are so very thankful and considers ourselves blessed that this pregnancy has progressed so well.

Net, i stayed with the IVF thread as, although this was a 'natural' pregnancy, I also felt I don't fit in on other threads. IVF changes how you are about pregnancy and I felt I needed the understanding of other IVFers. So I am sure the girls here don't mind if you join us! So excited for you!

Thanks RB & Haydos. So over the moon ... It is amazing I can't wait for your bubba's to born ... It is just so totally amazing and overwhelming. (and exhausting!)
    I still cannot believe it!!!

Marzi - getting rid of reflux is fantastic! By the time you have your baby you won't miss your belly ... It starts to get a bit tiresome in the last week or so, and great to feel more normal afterwards! I thought I'd miss it, especially bubba moving around, but there is so much going on and a beautiful bubba in your arms so you won't miss it
