Fionaalice - how're you going?? Not long now! Are you still sick or feeling better by now?

Loveabug - going well thanks. I'm in the 30s now in weeks (as of today haha), so it feels like I'm finally getting somewhere. Soooo tired of back/pelvic pain and not being able to sleep properly, but everything else is going well. How're you going?

Frostysmum - how is little Aloise going?

Any update from Lilybaby and Ethan? Hope they're doing well.

How is everyone else going? We must update the due date list soon.

Marzi---Thanks for updating the roll call. Rest up as much as you can. Setting up and preparing is so much fun!

    Haydos---Not long now for you!!!

Fiona---Can't wait to meet your little one. Hope he surfaces soon!!!

AFM---Sorry I haven't checked in as often as I'd like. Aloise is growing bigger and more interactive now. She's given me some smiles already and into her 3rd size up in clothing. I'm getting more confident in mothering, the first 6 weeks I don't think I knew what I was doing, now I'm getting her rhythm and able to lead her along. I also feel more confident in going out with her because I get cabin fever being cooped up at home for so long although each trip is like an expedition. I've started going to parent's group run by the MCH clinic and will start going to play group in 2 weeks.

Sleep deprivation is similar to Chinese water torture I reckon LOL! Put something in place to help you out as much as possible in the first 4-6 weeks, ie. with housework, grocery, cooking etc. If you're planning to breastfeed my advice is to find out as much as possible about it, read up on ABA and kellymom websites, watch videos (there's Dr Jack Newman stuff on youtube), attend ABA classes and get a big tube of Lanisoh to bring to hospital.

Glad to hear the babies are all doing OK.

We get a growth scan next week (26 wks). Ob gave us a reassurance scan on Tues because I phoned on Monday about whether the bubs would be OK with the stress I've been experiencing lately. All OK.
(DH has man-flu. Really. His cold got a little bit beyond what we could manage, so ambulance to hospital last Saturday week. A couple of stressful days in a general ward before he managed to prove to their satisfaction that he belonged in intensive care - scared everyone so much that they had the intubation gear all unpacked before his oxygen levels picked up at the last moment. Spent a week in intensive care before finally being intubated for fatigue of his respiratory muscles on Monday morning. Then yesterday he tried to contract pneumonia too. But back in good spirits by last night. Hopefully he'll be weaned off the ventilator over the next 4 days or so, and hopefully the worst of the cold and the need to cough will have passed by then so hopefully back home in around a week.)

Hi everyone, I havent been on BH for months because life has been so busy since our little man was born. Thanks Marzi for keeping everyone updated. I just wanted to let you all know that we finally brought Ethan home last Wednesday when he was 16 weeks old (40+4). It has really been a rollercoaster and there were some really scary times but we are so, so lucky and so thankful that he is healthy and thriving and finally home with us where he belongs . When he came home he was 2.95kgs and then 3 days later (yesterday) when the midwife came to visit he had increased to 3.1kgs. Considering his birthweight of 570gms he is doing a fantastic job, we are so proud of him. I still cant believe that I have my beautiful boy and love being a Mummy so much.

    Felicita
    - I hope your DH is ok, that sounds very scary .

Frosty - How is Aloise? I hope all is going well.

Fiona - Congratulations on the birth of your gorgeous little man Indy - I love his name.

Take care everyone, I'm looking forward to hearing about the births of more very precious bubbas.
