Marzi - I have my placenta at the front but not sure if it's low or not. Do you think the ob would have told me or would be waiting to see if it will move?
From what you've said, glad you're having a c section!

Maryz - I think my nausea started around week 5ish. Everyone is different but for me the thing that worked best was to eat every 2-2.5 hours. Even if you really really don't feel like eating, and even if it's just a few dry biscuits or some nuts. If I went for longer without eating I would feel so much worse when the nausea hit. Also I had very strong food aversions where most foods stopped tasting as nice for quite a while, and lots of food I couldn't eat at all, so you may have that to look forward to..
I've heard there is no issue with hair coloring as long as there is good ventilation, but just to be sure I haven't had mine done either, but I think that's just me being overly cautious.

Frostysmum - yikes, I'm not getting those symptoms I've decided, they don't sound fun! Hope you're going ok and taking it easy. Not long to go now

Maryz and Frostysmum - this is number 1 for us too but like Maryz we're planning number 2. We're 32, will be 33 when the baby is born, if I breastfeed for say a year, I'd be 34 before we could start trying again and 35 at the very earliest before number 2, so we wouldn't want to leave it too long before trying again. We wouldn't be trying anywhere near the same number of cycles though, maybe 3 or 4 max. We would be hoping that picsi would be the answer for us again.

Thanks fionaalice and frostysmum. I think I might try to hold out till the end of my first trimester and then go get the highlights/foils done only. I reckon I can wait another 6 weeks, it won't kill me. Best not to take any chances with bub who took nearly a decade to conceive Still can't believe it's happening just gotta make it past the first scan, freaking out about that heartbeat!!

After coming this far. I do not go in to a hairdresser. I go to a family friend who is a retired hairdresser. I don't want to breath the fumes. It's just not worth it to me. I'll get it cut before bubs arrives. I'm also not getting my legs waxed. I figure I can shave for a while to avoid going to the salon and the chemicals there.
also Deffinatly no massage 1st trimester!! Some points of normak massage trigger early labor and other stuff. I did lots of research on this before deciding the risk was too high. After that you can get pregnancy massage, tho I think I'll wait till after on this also.
    Thats just me tho

Haydos, I found out cos I had some spotting. I freaked out and went to OB. They did an internal scan to check it. Can't hurt to ask next time if only for your peace of mind.
You also pointed out something that really hit home with me. As we are both the same age, your calculations of our age before TTC #2. What month were you born in? I'm July.
Tho, I'm not sure that b/fing is possible for me with my kallmanns, I'd be hoping I could.

Fiona, wow 29!! Not long now!!
When do you stop work? How is the nursery coming along?
    Soo exiting!

Haydos1979: Yeah hubby says I am super keen already planning #2. But I'll be even older 38 when first baby is born and will need 6 months to a year to recover from the c-section which means I will only be able to start trying again at 39. Don't know what my chances will be at that stage. But I got no time to waste that's for sure. Well for the moment I'm just praying that this bub will be ok and can't wait to get to the safer 3 month mark. But I suppose the worry will not end till I safely hold this baby in my arms. I think IVF does that to you!

    Marzi- yes, super excited!
I will finish work in May, will see how I'm feeling if I finish 6 weeks before due date or 4.
We seem to have pretty much everything organized as much as I can tell, waiting until after baby shower in May to see what we still don't have!
    So so excited!!!!

Just updating the roll call - I've been a bit quiet as I was waiting on the outcome of my 8.5 wk scan on Thursday. The 6.5 wk one showed some cysts which they were concerned about so they wanted a follow up. Pleased to say it all looks fine so finally allowing myself to 'feel' pregnant.

Frostysmum, I'm trying not easy! I've waited for this BFP for over 9 years so it's very difficult not to worry now!
