Gave up TTC and changed our life goals.

Bam! UTD. Was ecstatic, even though we'd talked ourselves out of having kids at that stage.

Hello ladies, interesting reading your replies.

Can someone please tell me more about preseed? Can I buy it over the counter or do I need a prescription? How many do I take daily or is it something DH has to take? What does it do?

    Thanks.

i went to work 8pm-12midnite then came home and went to sleep at 1am.
dh woke me up at 3.30am for sex and we are now 25weeks pregnant.
(we dont normally have sex at that time of night/morning).

mumtochris preseed is a lubricant that is different to the normal ones like ky jelly etc.
some chemists stock it or i think you can get it online, they have a website you can type in your postcode/suburb and it will tell you your nearest stockist.
we used it for several months and it never helped us to concieve but some people swear by it.

We used Preseed for the first time that month - I honestly think that is what got us over the line as we'd been trying for a long time previously with all the vitamins, exercise, no alchohol/caffeine etc.

After 5 m/c and 12months of infertility I was put on clomid. After a couple of months on clomid nothing was happening and our next step was IVF. Both hubby and I had altered our diets and I was taking vitamins. Id also tried acupuncture.
Hubby started taking SPERMMAX and flaxseed oil tablets as well as eating pumpkin seeds daily - all were supposed to help with sperm quality and motility.
I was taking evening primrose tablets while i had my period - need to have obvious signs of bleeding and when bleeding stopped flaxseed oil tablets. Both help provide optimum mucus at ovulation time and help provide a lovely environment for the sperm.
A month of us both taking our tablets we found out we were pregnant and i am happy to report that after 5 unexplained m/c we are now the proud parents of a gorgeous 4month old daughter.
    Good luck

This baby wasn't planned.. I had been feeling clucky and seriously thinking about having another baby and after years had passed since having my DS, I felt ready again. (Had DS young.) But at the time I fell pregnant we weren't "trying".. I was less cautious as I wasn't actively preventing getting pregnant, but I hadn't seriously taken any steps towards it happening.. in fact, I was smoking and drinking, (stopped both completely as soon as I suspected I was pregnant) not on any vitamins etc.. and it only took the one time that we had unprotected s3x that month, the rest we were careful.. and, well, here we are!
So to answer your question, I personally did nothing to improve my chances; but we are all different, for some women it can take months or years, for others it comes as a surprise.. and if I was actively trying, I definitely would have been living a little healthier and would basically live as though I was already pregnant.. quit smoking, cut out caffeine, alcohol etc and get on a multi vitamin
