I soooo want to see the blue prints for Crown now. Casino, Morgue, secret passageways ... It's the perfect backdrop for a murder mystery. It was the butler in the library with a candlestick I say!!

Yep, DH was told that at the Crown Casino, they had to replace the carpets in 12 months in the High Rollers Club because the hard core gamblers were so addicted and into it, that they wouldn't leave to go to the toilet, but instead urinate under the tables.

As a NICU nurse, I know that the "good news" stories that frequent the media about miracle babies whilt true, are often few and far between. They just don't report the sad stories.

The Victorian Nurses "strike" that is going on at the moment is not actually a strike at all. All the nurses continued to come to work, just a lot of them were not being paid because of closed beds. In fact, beds are closed every day due to lack of funding to open them or to convenience the hospital....that fact is not reported, only when beds are closed by nurses is it reported.

Being involved in the Fostercare industry for 12 + years has shown me some real insights to the way the system works. Not always to the benefit of the kids as you would think.

Hubby works in the events industry. Some of the stories he tells are hilarious. For instance, when they work the day after the races to pack up the event, apparently there are women's underwear and g-strings everywhere that have been left behind. WTF?!?!

The local baker told me that wholemeal bread is actually white - they add caramel colouring because everyone expects it to be brown. He doesn't add the caramel colouring, hence why he told me, because I assumed they only had white bread!

Lol no way! Organic wholemeal is still brown, flour has to be refined to turn white .. I think he just really waged to sell you a loaf of bread!

She's right, they do dye it with caramel. But of course thats only your cr@ppy local bakery or supermarket bread. Proper wholemeal is just that, naturally brown.

Is that the only difference between white & wholemeal? (as in the flour is refined in one and not the other? And what does 'refined'mean anyway?)
That high fiber tip top loaf is white as can be, but full of whole grains, no?

I don't know I only but bread with whole seeds. Eg. 4 seed wholemeal more seed then bread, bread

Yep, most big brand " wholemeal " breads have caramel 150 in them so read the label - also subways wholemeal and multigrain bread has it as well ( which annoys me as they promote themselves as healthy!)
