That's awesome! It's more what happens when your MP refers your query to the federal government who don't really have that amount of control over individuals' circumstances most of the time. Although I did have a colleague here in Canberra who managed to get a woman's Centrelink benefits fixed up because she read her letter and was like "no we can't let this happen." So you're right, it can happen!

Yes you do now, you ( the owners) have to disclose to the agent upon signing any material fact that may have an impact on decision making during a property transaction that then we have to disclose to any potential buyers , which can mean anything from building faults to someone dying in the home , it's only relevant to that particular owner so any previous owners we obviously have no idea , we had to do this recently as the husband of one of our properties was shot in the driveway and killed which is why the wife was selling

In regards to the train one, a friend who drives told us if they look likely to hit someone they are told to drop To the floor - best way to avoid seeing the horror I guess. Yuck
One I would like to know is whether it's true that people kill themselves at the casino all the time? We heard when crown opened it was happening
Almost daily. Oh but that may be better for the rumors thread sorry!

2trunks - we heard the same thing when I worked at the Casino. We also heard from creditable sources that Crown has a morgue (sp). Probably true. And that they were allowed to move dead ppl before the police arrived - don't know if thats true though.

Depends on what you want to know really. As for funeral stuff, it's pretty TMI and could upset some people.

Button - I'll ask dh about the cremation when he wakes up and I'll be back. From memory I don't think he's able to do it legally where absolutely nothing is done....but I'll have to check, can't remember. It was dh's last job, before the one (2.5-3yrs ago) he has now so my memory is hazy.

ok cool, I am fascinated - I know they have to clean you up, drain your blood and use lots of chemicals and wierd things. I also heard they put plugs in your holes, you get a nappy and sometimes you get spray painted/glued etc. Anyway, if you want to PM me the intricate details Im happy to hear them.

Yeh so am I! So many times I've asked dh to tell me all about what he's been doing...he was also a mortician so yeh I got to be privvy to lots of things. Can't remember them all now.

I do remember this one bloke who was hit by a train and his face was messed up, and him and another bloke who was more experienced than him (he needed help with this one) but him back together again using glues and make up etc..without a photo and he looked exactly like he did when he was alive. Even the family commented that he looked exactly the same - it was fascinating!
