    Default Come back, day nap!!!

I think DS(3) has decided he doesn't need a day nap anymore...
I had to wake him up from his nap last Wednesday and he hasn't had a nap since. The first two days he was fine with having quiet time in his room while his sister napped (yes, that's right, I JUST got them sleeping at the same time). But the last three days he just comes out every 5 mins and when I get grumpy and tell him in no uncertain terms 'don't come out again' he sits there quietly for ages, and then the next thing I know, he has woken his sister (by emptying the toy bucket in her cot).

If I lock his door, he just tells and yells, and that wakes his sister even quicker.

They both were sleeping at least 2hours last week, this week, nothing. She gets about 40mins til he decides she needs to get up too, which makes her a nightmare for the rest of the day, and especially bed time.

*sigh* just when you get comfortable and think things are going your way.

You are pretty fortunate to have kept day naps going this long. Can he have quiet time somewhere that he won't wake his sister?

Both of mine dropped their day sleep around 2.5yrs, the only time my 2 yr old has a nap, is if we have a really big morning. Mind you today we went to the zoo though and he didn't even fall asleep in the car on the way home!

I just use the babies sleep time as my one on one time with him. We big boy stuff, I let him watch a little tv, we do puzzles, crafts, read books. All quiet stuff, he woke DD up once and I got really cross - he has never dine it again!

My dd1 stopped hers just after she was 2yrs when dd2 was 2months so that was joyous, i think that you are lucky he has slept up until this age, just have to get him to playdoh or something he thinks is special that his sister can't do hopefully keep him quiet for awhile.
