    they said its dodgy.
    advice was for Dh to answer and say that (his name) does not live next door but does live on the street and would be happy to take "dax's" info and pass it on.

    Oohhh, sounds creepy! Good idea to get him to answer the call though. Scams are just getting worse and worse.

    It is actually something that creditors (and people trying to serve papers) do.

    If you can not trace the call or prove they did this, then 'no foul play' on their part (unless you lodge a class action with numerous people also served in the same manner)

    Either scam or they are adding you to a mailing list that they will use to send you junk and sell the list to others to send you crap.

    It could also be possible thta they are fishing for info for ID theft, similar thing happened to a friend.

    Do not hand out any information and ask them not to call back.

    If he was your husbands friend he waould see him some time or call him directly.] or even leave a number for you to call.
