I saw a woman in Coles yesterday who must have been Clarissa Kent or something! She had a 5yo, 3yo and one fresh from the womb! She was managing all three, pushing a trolley with a boob out and the little baby feeding away! It was so nice to see!!!

When my DD was 6 weeks old, she and I took a solo trip to Cairns together, flying Tiger Airways. Our flight out of Melbourne was delayed by three hours... as were many other Tiger flights. You can imagine what the Departure Lounge looked like! Fortunately, a lovely group of people made some room for me at a table, where I promptly sat down and got a boob out to feed DD. I was sitting next to an elderly couple, who I struck up conversation with as I was boobing. The gentleman smiled and said to me "Breastfeeding is such a beautiful thing. Good on you for not being ashamed to do it in public." He then went on to proudly tell me how his wife breastfeed all of their children. It just made me feel really warm and fuzzy. I had been worried about offending them, but was given a huge pat on the back instead.

Loving this thread! As a new BFing mum it's nice to read some positive stories. Helping to boost my confidence about feeding in public too!

Everytime I saw my CHN she praised me so much that I was breast feeding it actually surprised me a bit cos I thought everyone did it! Apparently not! She told me its the greatest gift I can give her in her whole life it's setting her up to be a strong and healthy person. Made me feel quite good about myself I just stopped breast feeding this week after 15 months and feel a bit sad that it's over but proud of myself for feeding my bubba for so long go girls get out there in public and show everyone why we've really got them!
