My little one used to do the same thing.
She has since been identified as having Sensory Processing Disorder and the licking was one of her sensory behaviours. It's like the kids don't really identify why the behaviour is gross or inappropriate, they just like the feeling it gives them when they do it.

You could try giving him a "Licker"? Which could be a baby chew toy type thing hung off a lanyard around his neck and encourage him to use that instead? These sorts of things have worked with other kids I know.

I hope that helps? Fingers crossed you find something that works for you

Default Thanks to everyone who replied

I will definetley try those suggestions anything that might help is worth a try, and will talk to my doctor and the childcare workers at his daycare to see if the behaviour is as bad there.

    Thanks
