I'm 32 weeks and my midwife gave me panadeine with codine in it last night for an ongoing headache. She said its safe to take while pregnant as long as you stick to the recommended intake.

You'd be better off talk to your GP, a pharmacist or calling the midwives at your hospy. They can give you proper advise that is specific to your situation. Hope you're feeling better soon

I had a major operation while I was pregnant and I was given morphine! I also had chemo and was given panadine forte and the docs assured me it's safe. They often give panadine forte at the beginning of labour so it is safe. I guess if panadol is not really helping, you can try panadine if you choose. Everyone is different and some people would choose to not even take panadol, but I can tell you that it is safe.

Yes, it is fine. I accidentally took some in a headache induced haze at around 8 weeks, panicked and called the W&CH advice line and they said it was fine.

If you haven't taken anything try panadol first, but you can take panadeine when you're pregnant - can't take cold & flu tablets though.
