Default one incidence of high BP

    Hi
I was admitted Thursday night with high BP 160/98 (normal 125/70). I had 3 high readings and then it all settled down. Now I am home and stressing constantly about symptoms and whether this is likely to reoccur. I am 35 weeks, so if I could at least get through 2 more weeks I would be term.

Has anyone had a one off high reading? Or is it likely to be showing a trend towards PE?

It might not develop into PE, it may just be pregnancy induced hypertension which can be controlled with meds if needed to help you get as close as possible to 40 weeks. My BP started off up and down then eventually stayed up for 2 weeks and then I had a csection before it could be called PE (csection non related to Bp) I was carrying twins and had already had 8 weeks of complications and bed rest in hospital so I wasn't medicated and had an earlier than planned delivery at 37 weeks.
