I remember how overwhelming it all was when I started out in cloth! I ended up buying a few trial packs from a couple of different places so that I could work out which type of nappy I wanted (i.e.: AIO/pockets), and which brand suited my little guy the best. Each baby is different when it comes to MCN's - what one person finds great, another might not.

It all depends on what type of nappy you want, and how much money you want to spend. You can have a system where you don’t have to upgrade every time your baby changes sizes, and that works out a lot cheaper (OSFM = one size fits most). Or you can have a system where you buy a new set of nappies every time the baby upsizes (AIO's = all-in-ones). I have some of both.

Here is a link to the cloth nappy discussion area on here

Here is a link to a very helpful thread called Modern Cloth Nappies - Facts and other useful information.

Feel free to ask a million questions about MCN's, and I and other clothies will answer as best we can

I have to agree that when I tried to decide on which brand it was very difficult, they all seem to be about the same quality so I compared how many inserts came with the nappy etc and purchased a few different ones from different companies. I tried and liked Green Kids and Insideout Organic brands, the button/stud nappies do fold down smaller than the velcro so can be used from baby to toddler. Do like the flush down the toilet liner for number 2s!
