Default 6YO's tooth tangling...what to do?

Hi, my 6YO has his lower front incisor really tangling right now and has been for 3 days. We tried a few times to pull it out but he cried badly. The tooth has also collapsed but a bit of the gum is still attached to it making it bleed when we tried to pull. Poor boy is feeling so uncomfortable with a collapsed and tangling tooth but we just don't know what to do. Any advice? Can we leave it like this and will it come off eventually or do we need to see a dentist to get it out?

I'm guessing you mean dangling rather than tangling?

If yes, then I'd just leave it if he won't let you pull it out. This happened with DD a few times.

Other than that, I say, "Hey, can I have a look to see how wobbly it is?" and then just yank it out. She cries for a moment, but it'd better than her whinging about it hurting all the time and once it's out, she eats normally again (she wouldn't eat anything that might make it move, thus cause pain... so was refusing a lot of foods).

Oh yes sorry dangling why was I typing tangling when I am saying dangling in my head?

I am wondering if it will eventually come off without effort. DH and I are so scared of the pain and crying though both of us have had a go at yanking it out. If it will come off on its own I think we wil just leave it. He is eating fine just freaks out when it bleeds.
