SAME!! I started doing this some time last year because I just started noticing that whenever I would get home from being anywhere outside my house, my hands just felt dirty and yuck! I thought maybe I was being a bit OCD but when you see the dirty water that washes away just from being out of the house, it's like "eew so glad I got rid of that before making lunch"

See I was just thinking about this yesterday....I was on the toilet, not actually doing anything (I went in to wee, and maybe I did, maybe I didnt, but I got distracted and ended up just sitting there for a while lol), but I used to do the just water for wee's and soap for #2's but then I realised....When I go in and do a#2, the germs are still present in the air, on the paper holder, on the toilet flush buttons, on the door handle (if it's one of the rare occasions that I do actually close the door), on the seat etc....so I go to wash with soap because of the "poo germs" so to speak....so when I do a wee....those germs would still be there....So now I've started using soap for both.

At home I wash my hands with soap, I have the anti bacterial stuff at home. When I'm out I use my hand sanitizer, (the stuff that dries on your hands) after i go to the loo (after soap) and after I touch public surfaces especially before I eat and after, the bottle never leaves my handbag.

I also have one at work since there's a restroom there used by about 50 or so people and I've seen ladies walk out without washing hands. :s

I also have wipes for my mouse and keyboard since I know other people use it sometimes.

I'm not that anal at home but when I'm out, after doing my cleaning course, I am and for good reason.

I try to not touch anything in public toilets and use hand sanitiser. The skin on my hands is very prone to cracking and dryness so I wouldn't using their cheap, nasty soap anyway. I love those dyson driers too ... I want one in my house!

    You make a good point.

But I'm currently 31 weeks pregnant. If I washed with soap every time I do a wee, I'm pretty sure my hands would bleed.

    Hand sanitiser instead maybe?

Hand sanitizer is made with alcohol and is more drying and damaging to your skin than soap.
To answer the original question: yes. Every time I go to the toilet, change a nappy, or touch the garbage bin I wash my hands with soap. I also wash my hands when I come home from work or being out and about.
I am grossed out by people that don't.

Out and about I use hand sanitiser. Always have one in my bag. Public loos are grotty and make me want to lol I feel cleaner with my sanitiser and then there is no worry about how I'm going to dry my hands.

I always have to wash my hands with soap but since you have to turn the tap off you are technically touching the germs again. I do carry alcohol hand rub in my bag & will always use that after washing my hands too.

Not sure why I'm even going to say this - please don't bite my head off

But I don't wash my hands at public toilets if I do a wee. I tend to go in and out without touching anything. I guess the urinal helps by not having to close the cubicle door. This is the same if I use a tree/bush/behind the car/lemon trees etc. I don't tend to wee on my hands.

I do wash properly after a poo though. Not that it ever stinks or anything

but you touch your genitalia!!!!!!! It has been sitting inside underwear all sweaty and yuck.
and we have seen them..they dont stay crystal clean after a day in undies.

    you hold it.. to go...

and you shake...you do realise that when you shake, it does go everywhere!

    try cleaning a boys bathroom...eww
The places i have found wee is just ...ewwww

    @@@@@
I do find that my home soap is better than the sanitizer..at home i use soap and water without fail..
But in public toilets, that soap is cheap crud.
    My sanitiser is way better.

Why is it sweaty and yuck? How do you know my genitals better than me?

Sometimes I do. Sometime I don't. I'm really not sure how you think you know about how I go to the toilet. And NO, it doesn't go everywhere.

I've cleaned my toilet. Alot easier than the one that my boy uses. But I guess he hasn't quite mastered the aim of his dad yet.
