Default **spin off** Do you wash your hands after the toilet?

SO on the topic of germs...

I always notice women leaving public toilets without washing their hands. Sometimes they just wet their hands with water. It happens probably majority of the time that I witness (i'm not some weirdo public bathroom stalker by the way, this is just an ongoing observation ).

Do you wash your hands? With soap?

Ew! Yes. But I know some people who don't because apparently if you don't touch anything except yourself and your toilet paper, you can pick up worse germs from actually washing your hands. I wash my hands anyway but I also sanitise with gel if it was a horrible bathroom. The people I know who don't wash say they just sanitise after they walk out the door (because you are likely to touch the door etc).

Adding, some people can't use the soap provided because of allergies or dematitis reaction to it, so maybe you can console yourself with that thought the next time you see someone not washing their hands... that they aren't just dirty and have a medical reason to not touch *that* soap.

I wash my hands thoroughly with soap. Working in healthcare means infection control is a huge thing, so good hand washing is ingrained/a habit.

    I never touch the doorsss

and if i cant get out without touching a door, I will not go in.

I had to hold it for 4 hours on our drive to port macquarie, as i would not use the toilets.

Yes! Ew. I wash and then use a paper towel to open the door and drop the towel in the nearest bin afterwards.

DH says the number of men who don't wash their hands is disgusting. It grosses him out at work.

I actually feel sick if I ever have to shake a mans hand, because my ex used to say the same thing (about men not washing their hands). Yuck!

I've been known to stand by the public toilet door waiting for the next person to open so that I can slide on out without touching anything
