So DH and i are in DESPERATE need of a 'date night'. My mum is babysitting so its on for Sat night...problem is, we cant think of anywhere to go.

What the heck to people do on a Saturday night these days .

    Any ideas??
PS, nothing too expensive. We've done bowling, movies and dont wana go out for dinner.

DP and I try to go on 1(sometimes more) date night a month, we have done -
    - Bowling
    - Mini Golf
    - Drive in Movies with dinner at the 50's cafe
    - Iceskating
    - Laser skirmish
    - Cricket/AFL matches
    - Dinner some where "high class"
    - Cook in - cook a meal together, usually followed by a movie.
    - Pub & karaokee (fun as a double date too)
    - Camp out - if your mum is having your LO over night. Doesn't have to be anywhere spectacula, somewhere were you can have a campfire and roast marshmellows, lay down and watch the stars.
    - Night fishing

    HTH

something oldschool like ice skating or drive in movies ?

Have a picnic somewhere nice ( beach or nice park rather than out to dinner)

FISHING!! If DF and I EVER got a night off (or day off) we would go fishing
Sounds so random, and not very date like, but it is so much fun to take a picnic, set up and fish. Mostly I watch him coz I suck at fishing, and tend to fall in the water, but its just so fun and so relaxing and we can be silly together.

DP and I go for "random" drives when it's just the two of us. Literally just get in the car and drive. We've seen some amazing things and found hidden places. It's relaxing and peaceful...

Hmmm wonder if I can find a baby sitter... Lol
