Congrats on the O mam!! It would be so awesome if we did all get BFP this cycle

I'm not on any boosters or pesseries and these haven't been discussed... What are they for? Maybe cause it's only my first o cycle she is just going to see what happens first?

I was thinking now my chances must be about same as natural conception and I'm only 26 so hoping that counts for something?

Hey greenfairy!! Yup the chances are the same as natural conception.

I'm on hcg booster shots, the same drug as the trigger but smaller doses. So the hcg keeps the corpus luteum (the follicle that released the egg) producing progesterone, which keeps the uterine lining nice and thick for implantation, which usually occurs from 5-9 after ovulation. The progesterone pessaries are little tablet things that you put in your nether regions, and release progesterone directly to your body. Main aim of both is to support the progesterone increasing, to keep the uterus lining thick until the baby can support itself.
When the progesterone drops, that's why you get your period, the progestone can't support the lining anymore, so it sheds... Some people drop progesterone quickly and can shed the lining early, having a short luteal phase (short time between ovulation and AF- usually 2 weeks) boosters and progesterone supplements aim to keep the luteal phase at its longest as to not lose the lining, and potential baby, before it's had a chance to implant.

Maybe your clinic doesn't do it for timed bd cycles, are you having another blood test to confirm ovulation? Every cycle I have ever done, with both clinics-they used progesterone support. Maybe just ask them why you're not having it, I wouldn't worry if they give you a good enough reason. But I would be asking for at least a progesterone blood test a week after ovulation, to make sure you have produced enough...?? No harm in asking. The first cycle is all about figuring out your body I guess.

I was 23 when I did my first injection cycle, age defiantly helps but don't be too devastated if it doesn't happen this cycle, it's still less than a 15% chance but would be soooo awesome if you fell first try with timed bd!! Fingers crossed for you!!!

SOMEONE HAS TO GET A BFP THIS CYCLE GIRLS!!!!!!!! Hahaha

Thanks for the great explanation mam. I agree that someone has got to get their bfp this cycle. I've not got any hope now though and tbh I'm feeling pretty ticked off and frustrated.

After 7 weeks of clomid, injections, millions of appointments, hundreds of dollars all to try pinpoint o time, DP was too tired last night and couldn't finish! That's the only thing he's had to do in 7 weeks to try make this baby. We did do sat/sun morning so all is not lost but I'm still annoyed. Of course it's harder cause I can't show him how upset/ annoyed I am cause it will only make it worse next time. I've not enjoyed this w/e at all and if next cycle is anything like this one I'm straight to iui. Anyway thanks for the vent space.

Have a great week ladies, thanks for the support xx

Oh greenfairy!! I'm sorry to hear that! The poor boys, they can work themselves into a bit of a state too hey its a lot of pressure on them too. I'll never forget my dh after his deposit for the iui! So worried about his sperm count! Although it's not like they have to inject themselves every day for 20 + days!!!

Don't lose hope!! They can survive a while in there!!! Not over yet! Don't stress!!!! if u did it in the mornings that's more than enough sperm!! And they say twice in one day is not great anyway as the body has not had enough time to regenerate good sperm.. The poor guy!! Hahaha!! Try not to turn him into a sperm machine!!

Had bloods this morning! Progesterone is 48!!! Wow!!! Never been that high before!! Fingers crossed AF doesn't show! For the next 9 months!!! Haha

    Minipolly!!! How are u?????????????????

    Mam xoxoxo

Greenfairy- I know how you feel
I stopped the pill on the 29th and with all going to plan was meant to start injections over the weekend. But no AF hasnt shown up to join this party, she normally turns up within 3 days of stopping the pill. So at the moment im feeling a little lost as i dont know what to do from here as it really doesnt feel like she is turning up anytime soon as i have no cramping or sore boobs. Ive done 2 hpt both BFN so i dont know whats doing with my body at the moment, thinking it could be something to do with all the antibiotics i have been on for the last few weeks as i managed to get pneumonia

Mam83- good too see your levels are high hope af stays away for the next 9mths for you

well thats my rant over have a great day girls and for some BFP

Mam yay for O!!!!! How exciting congrats hun hope it turns into a BFP as well. I think each FS just has their own preferred methods when it comes to pessaries vs booster shot, they both have the same effect in the end, think I would prefer the booster over the pessaries! Lol

Green fairy how frustrating, I've been there Hun & know how it feels, nothing you can do except make him feel good about himself (don't make him feel bad, they never ends well). Sounds like you have DTD enough to be in with a good chance

Tantom how annoying! Hope it shows up soon for you

AFM another BFN this morning & not getting my hopes up, can't help myself but to test lol
Feel like this cycle is taking FOREVER

Tantom you will be fine, it isn't nearly as bad as what I thought it would be, I found the first one was the hardest but after that pretty easy. Just try to relax & do it quickly so you don't procrastinate ... I find when I take too long I end up hesitating & then it stings a bit more.

Little Dove yay good luck hope your appointment goes well
