    Hi Ladies
Mam83- Yay for starting your injections!!... even if its a bit early

GirlX- In regard to the pregnyl or ovidril injection, I did pregnancy test every day on my first cycle and it was out 9 days post trigger so I could begin testing day 10-11post trigger with confidence.

21 and trying- What cycle day are you?? On my second IUI cycle my FS added 100HCG every second day- I was told it acts the same as leutinising Hormone, and boosts estrogen. It worked too well for me- I overstimulated that cycle even though I was only on 25gonal f up to 50 by the end. I home it works for you. I know it can be frustrating when noting happens. I would get frustrated by CD 17 when nothing is happening, then all of the sudden things take off. Hang in there

AFM- CD 5, done 3 days of injections... many more to go! Bloods on Monday. Im usually still at baseline at first bloods.

Mam - Typical for AF to arrive at an unexpected time! Glad it doesn't delay anything for you though.

21andtrying - Fingers crossed for tomorrow! That would be a lovely anniversary present in Feb too I'm not sold on the Metformin. As Mam said it can upset your stomach, and I haven't really seen any weight loss from it. But I'm scared to stop taking it now, in case I suddenly gain weight!

1xbabyplease - Hope all goes well with the blood tests on Monday. Thanks for the info about Pregnyl - I'm dying to test already, which is crazy!

AFM - Well, now 3 days post IUI. I'm not feeling anything particularly, but I guess it's too early to tell. Had a very sore ovary type pain today, which was weird, but I'm probably over-analysing every twinge! I'm taking progesterone pessaries now (until I get AF, and if I'm pregnant I keep taking them). They're pretty gross! Went to playgroup today and every second person there was pregnant, which did get to me a little. I'm glad not everyone finds it so hard (to get pregnant), but it seems so unfair that it's so easy for some people and so hard for others.

    Hi girls,

Sorry I have been a bit quiet, have had a rough emotional week. I got concerned about AF being so light and odd in colour, and spoke to my FS and he did an internal scan and blood test and said that I actually must have ovulated last cycle after all (didn't think I did!) and he thought I might have been UTD so stopped injections and waited for blood test which was negative, but now we have to wait a week or two to start injecting again because I may still get a proper AF, he doesn't think that what I thought was day 1 was actually day 1 after all

Anyway, so I'm back in limbo land again!!!

So just a quick visit sorry no personals, I am trying to stay away from the forums while in limbo land, bit stressed about the whole thing really.

    Good luck girls

Oh no minipolly!!!! What a week!!! How disappointing!! How horrible is limbo land!!! I hate it there, I'm so sorry u are stuck!!

I wonder what that pseudo AF was all about then?? Just crazy hormones??

Hope u start to feel better soon. You know you will! Give yourself some time! Hopefully real AF will come soon and get u out of limbo land!

Us TTC-ers are a strong bunch! We find this inner strength to wait and be patient no matter how hard it is... because we have no other choice!!! We take our defeat and we somehow get through it, and then we are back out in the battlefield to go through it all again!!

Looking forward to hearing from again soon love!!

    Hi Ladies

Thought i quickly drop in before bed, not sure if you have seen my post under the clomid thread, but i will be joining you girls with the injections.

After a discussion with my FS, i have decided to move onto injections - puregon. In the next few days i will start with provera to bring on my AF, not sure what day in the cycle i will start with the injections, waiting for the FS to send me a letter with full details.

I'm excited that i have moved on, hoping this will do the trick. FS reckons that 50 dose should do the trick for me. Not sure, dont really want to get my hopes up.

She also prescribed, metformin for me to take. So here i am taking 1 tablet a day at the moment, and will move onto 2 a day in two weeks time, and eventually to 3. Not sure if i will manage to go to 3, as i already have low sugar levels!!!

Hope you ladies are traveling alright. Speak to you all soon, as i'm sure i will have lots of questions to ask.

    Hello and welcome Babydust27!!!

How exciting!!!! Yes I did see your post on the clomid thread and was wondering if you were going to drop in!!

Hope that you can get onto it all soon! Bring on AF!!!!

Yes the metformin can be hard on your tummy!!! Are you on the slow release ones? 500?? Yes don't increase quickly!! You will pay for it!! HAHA

I too have quite low blood sugars, i am quite prone to hypoglycemia... my sugar levels drop extremely rapidly, especially in the mid afternoon... But funny enough, since starting the metformin 6 months ago, i have only had 3 hypos - Before I would get at least 2 or 3 a week, so this is HUGE!!! I didn't change my diet much, but i do admit, knowing that I am on the tablets gives me that extra push to make sure i eat a good meal, or i will end up on the floor!!
And I have also lost 5kg, so awesome!! Even know i was in the normal range before, now i am lower normal

Let us know how you are going!!! Usually the injections are started in the first few days of the cycle. Are you having IUI? Or old fashioned way?? I am seriously considering IUI, but DP is very keen to do a few cycles with the baby dancing only... Will see how moody I get, he might not be so keen to keep doing cycle after cycle without IUI if i'm moody!!

    Speak to you soon!!!

Hi 21andtrying! How did you go? You had more bloods yet? Is the HCG helping??

Yeah I am hoping that something happens at least, last time i did an injections cycle, I was jabbing for weeks and had to up the dose. Although I did have a natural LH surge before the trigger, so thats good, but every cycle is different so they say..

Thinking of u, hope your follies are over their stubborn-ness!!!!

Minipolly - What a stressful time! You poor thing. Hope 'proper' AF comes soon, and you can get started.

Babydust - Hello! Fingers crossed for your first cycle

Mam and 1xbabyplease - Sounds like Monday is the day for blood tests! Keep us posted regarding how you get on.

21andtrying - Where are you up to now?

AFM - now on day 5 post IUI, and am convincing myself that every twinge/ niggle/ feeling is a pregnancy indication. Arghh... Slowly going insane!

Does anyone know why some fertility specialists do blood tests and some don't? Mine never did during the Clomid or Gonal F cycles - he just did scans. So for me he does a scan when AF comes, and then 50 units of Gonal F for about a week, then another scan, and then at that point it's either a case of giving it a few more days on Gonal F (and then another scan to make sure the follicle is ready) OR the Pregnyl trigger (followed by IUI next day this time). And then progesterone pessaries every day until AF arrives (or I get a BFP - in which case I'm to keep taking them).

Do your OBs do blood tests as well as scans, or instead of? I just wasn't sure why I wasn't having blood tests, but I mentioned it to him when I was doing Clomid and he seemed to think there was no reason to. Thanks
