    Hi Mam,
Yes I had the test, the nurse was so nice, actually she was the one to perform the AIH. She said she would fast track the bloods and call me as soon as they come in which was nice.
And yes I did get a negative
My next apt is the 21st May which seems ages away, but going to call them today and let them know to put me on the cancellations list!
So IVF is out next step, which is something I really was hoping to avoid... not feeling great about much at the moment but I have to stay positive and be grateful for what I already have.

    Love Mumze

    Hi Ladies,

Sorry I have been so quiet! Well they said last week they would do bloods yesterday and that will tell me if cycle cancelled or not but e levels are slowly rising - at 327 so no cancel for me until this afternoon when I find my results. Just waiting for bloods then another u/s, third this cycle. Kinda sick of jabbing, day 22 of jabs anyway it will all work out.
    All the best ladies! Xx

Hi all, I am new to this and am slowly reading through all the threads on here & am feeling a bit better about my impending need to jab. We have been TTC for just over 12 months & in this time I've O've twice. I've been on metformin as the gyno told me I had PCOS on the basis I hadn't had AF, I have recently stopped taking it as my FS confirmed I don't have PCOS.
I had my first app with a FS last week and am about to start ovulation induction. She has skipped clomid & is putting me straight onto gonalf-f. I am very hessatant about this 1 because I don't know how I'll go jabbing myself everyday & the risk of multiples (this is a huge concern fir us). I have about 2 weeks before I start, as you know i need to get AF 1st, so I have been put on the pill for 21 days, feels like I keep going backwards in the whole process.
I am so glad I found this thread as I feel like no one understands what I am going through, everyone I know just has to 'sniff an oily rag' to fall pregnant.
One question I do have is we have planned a trip away to the middle of nowhere for 5 days & I'm worried that the timing might be all off for blood tests and ultrasounds. Is there a specific day in the cycle when u need to have these done, it will be approx 3-3.5 weeks after I start injections?

    Hi Dimsim49,

Welcome, I'm pretty new here too. I'm on cycle 3 with fsh injections and dont have PCOS. My first cycle took around 3 weeks of injection until I was ready for the surge injection. The first cycle was a bit of experimentation. Each FS monitors differently, but mine does blood tests 2-3 times a week and when the E levels show something is happening he gets me in for an ultrasound.

Second cycle took 2 weeks, and most recent one 4 weeks (because I insisted we start lower as cycle 2 I had 5 follies!).

I have struggled to fit in blood tests etc as I travel a bit, but I have been able to get tests done at pathology labs other than the one linked with my FS, so depending on how far away you are, this might also be a possibility.

Good luck, I had a huge needle phobia when I started, but it is less of an issue now. Still struggle with the concept that I need to inject myself to fall pregnant.

Some pieces of advice re starting injections,
    1. Allow the injection to come to room temp before giving if you can (usually 5 mins or so is enough). Stings less
    2. I had a huge phobia with the idea of putting it in my belly, so tried in the leg for the first cycle, I went on to find it was def easier/less traumatic in the belly!!!

    Good luck.

    Welcome to the forum!!!

I know the pill sounds bad, but it will help u regulate things for a month before you get the ball rolling. How many days have you got left now??

As for the trip, might be right in the middle of things and you don't know when you will be triggering yet... Hopefully will be before the 3 week mark, but might be better to discuss this with the nurses or your specialist, see what they think!

How exciting though!!! Wishing you a quick bfp!!!! This site is great support, even though it has been a bit quiet of late!!

How is everyone else going? Sorry to hear about the bfn tls!!!! Try try again!!!! It's devastating for a while though isn't it, and then you start to feel a bit better...

As for myself, sorry been way off the radar for a while... Taking a break! had the appointment with my fs this morning, did not go exactly as I had hoped... I was expecting her to say yep keep going with the ovulation induction... However, she does not like that I have taken so many cycles, only wants me to do 2 more cycles of ovulation induction, defiantly with IUI this time, and then if those two don't work, it's onto ivf... Not exactly sure how I feel about this... I was hoping for a few more tries. But she said by now I should be preg if the natural way is going to work, so try iui for 2 attempts, and then it's time to get serious...

So gonna start taking provera to bring on af. Cause of course, nothing has happened... I hate my body!!!! Aarg!!!!!

How are u other gals going????
