So i caved and ended up testing this morning and got a positive result. I haven't really reacted yet as i want to make sure its real before i get excited, so have bought a different test today. I haven't used that one yet. Ill really celebrate when i get bloods done next week.

Fp - hope you are recovering well and your situations are looking up soon!

Ttc- i had symptoms the week before, but everything disappeared until last night. All cm had dried up but reappeared yesterday. My b00bs are still sore, but less than last week.

Fingers crossed that you still catch the eggy!! This used to happen to me when it was around O time!!' very frustrating when the work trips were only a few days or so but were over those important precious days! Mines away now to. Heading to the airport soon to pick him up.

Congrats Shackles! Hope all goes well with the bloods! How exciting.

Oh wow! I think it is not possible to get a false positive right? But I can understand not wanting to get too excited. Can't wait to hear the results of the second test.
How long have you been trying for?

Good luck with the recovery fp. Have you had any pain?
@kellymac annoying that the work schedules don't always match up hey? Lucky though as I did my first opk today and I got a faint line so as long as o hasn't happened in the past few days we are in the good zone. DH gets home in 7hours.

TTC- I haven't had any unbearable pain. Just been really tender between my belly button and where the stitches are down low.

My MIL passed away last night. It all happened so quickly. We had a meeting with the palliative care team earlier in the day and that was a bit of a shock and then we went home. We were going to have the night at home and then go back in this morning but we got a call from DH's Dad and he said to come straight away because she didn't have long to go. By the time we got there, she was gone. I wish we could've been there with her when she passed away. I'm grateful that she had her sister and husband with her though. DH shared a poem on facebook for his Mum and I thought I would share it here because it is really beautiful:

You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she would want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

I said to DH last night that if we have a girl, we will call her Breanna Louise after his Mum who was Anne-Louise. I think she would like that. She wanted very much to be a grandma and I only wish I could've been able to give that to her before she died. She was always trying to get my baby names out of me and now I wish I had told her.

Oh fp! I am so sorry for your loss. Life can be so hard sometimes. All my prayers are for you and your family to stay strong through this rough time. Thank you for sharing the poem - it was so beautiful and a wonderful way to look at the death of a loved one. The name you have chosen is gorgeous - and don't feel bad for not telling her as I'm sure she knows now
