    Me too

So sick of having to correct spelling and I really hated never having cups or brushes or other trinkets with my name on it, because of the spelling

My name is Joanne. I loathe it. But I love Joanna, but I don't think the change is significant enough and I think i'm to late in life for anyone to actually call me by my changed name, especially since the change wouldn't be a huge one.
Yeah I'm a bit the same. My family dont really use my real name (long story), and over the years I've managed to get most people to call me by a shortened, less yucky version of my proper name so I suppose that is good enough.

Occasionally people think my name is the pretty version and I have to correct them. Some people (like my MIL and come to think of it my DH too) insist on spelling it the pretty way every time they write me a card or letter, no matter how many times I correct them.

Geez that sounds bad - seriously DH, learn my freaking name

Yep, a few times (never spelt the same way though). It is a name that seems reasonably popular with young girls but was considered fairly unusual when i was growing up.
The feedback is mostly positive for the name so that's good.
