I'm not a popular name but both DDs have friends with the same name. My name is often used in American movies as the stripper or porn star or mean girl.
Never seen my name on BH...until now! Someone else said they had the same name a couple of pages back. It hasn't been a common name in any decade and gets mistaken for a boys name (although the spelling is different grr) waaaay too often which really annoys me!
My little munchkin due May 2012! So to keep me busy till then, I'm learning how to use my iPhone.
My nickname yes. My full first name no.
no. i never see it. but it doesnt bother me...
Just searched it and it's mentioned twice in name threads and a number of times in the annoying celeb type threads though I pronounce my name the right (scots Gaelic) way.
My name gets a mixed reaction. Sometimes being described as too old fashioned and an old ladies name, to being described as beautiful, classic and not over used. The best response to it was when a popular member planned to use it as her dd's name. The superlatives in that thread were overflowing. Sadly, she went for another more popular old fashioned name with my name bumped to a middle name. I used to hate it myself, but have grown into it. I would call a little girl by that name, but think it's too egocentric to use your own name on your child.
(Yes George Foreman, you are egocentric lol)
