    Angry My bloody ex!

I'm really p!ssed with my ex atm. He's a drop kick!!!

Firstly, in January last year our DD got really sick (after playing in flood waters at HIS house with HIM) and ended up in hospitial for 4 days (had the start of blood poisoning) I stayed up with her screaming in pain/with an incredibly high temp/really sick for a week and was absolutely wrecked by the end of it (in that time he only visited her in hospitial twice, for a total of less then 90 mins!) when she got discharged she needed $140 worth of medication, plus a week later needed another $40 worth of medication.. He refused to help us pay for anything. He pays the bare minimum each month and thinks thats enough. ( found out in october he was getting $400 a month child support for his step son, and was only paying around $100 a month for his daughter).

Then, she had a op on her stomach and he didn't see her for 2 weeks (she wasn't allowed at his house, but he wouldn't come to ours/the hospitial to see her), but he again refused to pay for anything.

She has yearly visits with a specialist in a capital city and refuses to help pay for it, she has to have particular shoes and won't get her any, he won't even put the ones we send on her either!

He NEVER pays for anything above what the CSA says he has to pay.

She starts school soon and we asked him over a year ago would he help us pay for her school fees/uniforms and he said yes, but recently he's said no. I'm so annoyed. She is just as much his daughter as mine and he won't help out.

He puts her LAST all the time. it's not fair on her!

Why do some guys act like complete jack@ss's! Don't they realise its THEIR child they are hurting?

because they are to stupid to realise its not about them

I have found many years ago to stop spending so much of my energy expecting anything and just get on with things once you accept that he is what he is you will feel a lot better

LOL. i've only ever asked him for about $200 above the cost of childsupport (in total) since we split up when she was 11months old.. She's now 5years old. $200 in 4 years!

    Ugh!

Sounds like my ex... He doesn’t pay child support even though he recently got a substantial pay rise and his new girlfriend (who he left me for) claims single parenting payment. They are rolling in money while I’m here struggling to make ends meet, paying off debts/bills from when we were still together. I don’t understand why he thinks paying child support is an option. He barley sees his own child but picks up his girlfriends daughter everyday from school , cooks her tea, buys her things while my DD is missing out.

Bc to put it bluntly, some non custodial parents are dead beats and have the stupid idea that they are 'paying' the ex as opposed to providing for their child. The ridiculous thing is that CS covers but a tiny proportion, in many cases, of what the real costs are.

But if they pay a few bucks a month they are parent of the year I've also found the new gf/partner are almost worse than the ex. Possibly jealousy he has children not to her first?? Maybe the ex feeds them falsehoods and they buy it bc they need to in order to stay?? I mean, it's easier to believe she's a money grabbing cow than the truth that he's a deadbeat dad...
