    Default starting clomid soon

DH and i have been TTC for (almost) 3 years on our own, last year we decided we'd finally bite the bullet and see a specialist to help us with our baby dream (actually, it was DH who had to bite the bullet and get the test for the GP to refer us to the specialist!), we saw the specialist 3 months ago, and he asked us to (DH) quit smoking (both) lose some weight and (ME) try and get my iron levels sorted out before we see him again next month.

I haven't lose any weight (infact i've put 3kg on trying to lose weight ) and DH stopped smoking for 2 months but has started again, plus my iron levels are cr@p still.

We are starting Clomid in feb, but i haven't had AF since may 2011... I'm worried because the Clomid info i could find online says that you have to start it on a certain day while you have AF.. What happens if i don't get AF before i'm suppose to start it?

I personally don't have any experience with not getting AF but Alot of women in your situation are given a medication called provera to induce a period, maybe speak to your dr about it.

In the mean time head over to the clomid support thread, the ladies over there are very helpful and knowlegable

I almost never get a period naturally, so my RE gave me a progesterone-esque drug (Primolut-N) that you take for 10 days to induce a period. Then, I started Clomid on days 2-6. Good luck!

I have heard of the provera before, but it's never been suggested to me. I am seeing my GP this week, and am going to ask him if there is anything that he can do. I feel like i should be getting it/having it now (AF) but, so far, i've had the tiniest little bit of blood (not enough to even really notice) a week ago, since then i've had discomfort sort of pains (not so much pain, more just discomfort with the occassional starting to get towards a little bit of pain), am hoping it's my body kicking into gear, it's happened before (but that was when my GP thought i m/c really early on).

I'll head over to clomid threat. thanks
