    Default Really worried after ectopic

I didn't really know where else to post this so sorry if this is the wrong spot...

2 weeks ago I have an ectopic pregnancy and I've had 2 shots of methotrexate. I've had all the "usual" side effects I guess, cramping, pain, bleeding etc

Sorry for the TMI but today I have had weird bleeding, it's different to what I've had which was like a normal period. Today it's like when you cut yourself... Bright red blood with nothing else... I don't know if that even makes sense. It's also a lot heavier.

I was in emergency the other day with bad pain and bleeding (i was hobesrly worried i was about the rupture) and they sent me home after an external scan and told me I was fine.

Should I be worried? I'm reluctant to go back to the hospital as all they ever do when I go in is check my hcg levels and feel my stomach. I asked for an internal scan the other day and they refused

I'm just so worried something isn't right... But I don't know what's normal and what's not

Sorry if that was all over the place... It's late, I'm on my phone and I'm a hormonal mess at the moment!

Everyone seems to suggest KEMH. Even my ob said to go to them

I just called and they said not to come in unless it increases even more and the pain starts again.

I'm really sorry for your loss too *hugs* it's such a horrible thing to go through

I just find while KEMH were great when they diagnosed it... I feel like they pushed me for methotrexate when I wanted surgery and since then it's been a joke I'm in constant pain and they just checking my hcg and sending me home, telling me if I have more pain to "come back straight away".

Just over the whole thing. Plus my hcg is still over 2000 so I'm worried this is going to go on for ages

So sorry you're going through it too ectopics are so horrible

So sorry to hear what you are going through can you "lie" a little about the pain say it is horrendous & you really can't cope with it, maybe then they might act a little more & check you out thoroughly to ensure it is progressing as it should...

I agree. Normally I'm not one to suggest fudging the truth but I would go in and say you are in really bad pain. At least then they might take you seriously and do the proper tests.

I'm back at the hospital and after realizing I'm 3 weeks after my first methotrexate and still in pain... They did an internal.

Found a small rupture and free fluid so I'm waiting for surgery now

I just can't believe how long this has gone on. I don't feel like I can move on from losing our baby as I'm constantly in hospital!

I am sorry this is happening to you hun. I ended up in emergency 2 days after my methotrexate shot. However for two weeks the hospital did nothing - they did a scan like 4 days after I complained of pain and saw fluid but never investigated further. It was my fertility doctor that agreed with me and gave me the shot.

    Thinking of you xoxox

    Thanks ladies *hugs*

They ended up removing the tube I'm feeling pretty average right now. Luckily my husband and family have been awesome and have been looking after me. My DD keeps offering to check my blood pressure and check my temperature with her toy doctors kit which is giving me lots of smiles.

Its been 3 weeks since we found out our pregnancy was ectopic and we would have been 10 weeks today I just wish I was getting excited for an upcoming 12 week scan rather than dreading follow up appointments and blood tests
