Bad news today. No embryos to transfer at day 5 as none of the 4 suitable. Gone from 6 to nothing in 5days. It's hard but the reality of IVF that it doesn't always work and sometimes the answers are there. Back to the drawing board.

Thank you ally and ivfmum. We had an unexpected development today, one of the eggs developed more overnight and our FS decided it was worth a shot to transfer. It's a roller coaster journey but we are still grateful to the technology and experience of our FS. Its a slim chance but it's a chance.

    That's great that it's worth a shot.

We made our own Medicare account today so we have our own safety net. So excited! And nervous and scared and a million other things!

Just have to find a way to pay for it now!

Yes ally... I think we made a mistake as only just got in the mail my Medicare online access today to register so will have delay on rebates... It does mount up the expenses.

Hi NewIVF....I figure you've had your transfer by now and have my fingers crossed that all goes well. The waiting game must be so tough......We're just waiting to start our first ever IVF/ICSI cycle, any day now. It's so bizarre, I've spent the last three years willing for my period not to come, and now I'm on edge willing it to happen so we can get the process started!

Thank you livchip. Yes it's all waiting sometimes and hoping a lot of the time. Having just done my first ivf cycle ever I know the feelings you have. Be kind to yourself and best of luck too.
