Somebody may wish to provide the definition of the word 'vent' for the benefit of a PP.
My blood pressure rises slightly each time I see people forget to put the *n't* on words like couldn't, shouldn't, wouldn't etc.
Not exactly a written error, but my husband says 'usedtavit' all rolled into one, instead of 'used to it'..........
Drives me bonkers!
Most things that annoy me are the mixing up of the common basic words. My typing is lazy and so often technically are wrong. eg hte instead of the.. but that's my own laziness.
The basic things, your/you're, they're/there/their, to/too.
And definitely! Another one here who gets so frustrated, and it's often done by people who consider themself pretty good in terms of spelling etc.
