    Why do I keep seeing "ect" being used when people mean "etc"?

    "Etc" is the abbreviation of "et cetera", the latin phrase meaning "and other things". "Ect" means nothing!

    Oh no, ECT stands for electro convulsive therapy lol!!! Maybe that's what they mean.....
