Question Mothers Groups in Camp Hill/Hawthorne/Bulimba/Norman Park/Morningside?

    Hi,
I'm a first time mum, due mid Feb 2012, and wondering if there are any mothers groups in my area; Camp Hill, Hawthorne, Bulimba, Norman Park, Morningside?
Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi there, I'm also a first-time mum (solo) living in Camp Hill. I missed the boat on getting in to a mothers group through the MCHN, as I discovered when I went to see them for the first time last week. My baby girl is 4.5 months and I was told that I couldn't join any of their mothers groups...long story as to why this was my first visit to the MCHN but I was really unimpressed that they wouldn't/couldn't help me connect with other mums

So I'd be really interested in creating a group in the area of bubs of similar age. Anyone else????

According to the Playgroups Australia website, only one of the groups in my area has a vacancy, and they meet on a day that my bub is at daycare. It's also a bit hit-and-miss as to the ages of the kids at a playgroup, seeing as most of them are 0-5 years.

    But thanks for the suggestion

Yes that does seem a bit stupid as at the age the difference are huge, i think its just a default as noone could be younger than 0 and older than 5 at school

Hi, I've just moved to Bulimba and have a 3 month old. I was wondering how you got on finding a mother's group in the area?
    Thanks

Just wondering how people have gone finding mother's groups? I've contacted my local child health clinic but they said it's hard to get in to their group so they're posting out info re other groups. In the mean time if anyone on here has any info or would like to start a group, please let me know. I'm in Hawthorne and have a 4 week old.
