    Default 6month develpment??????

My ds which is 6 1/2 months has come along away develop mentally over the past month etc. sitting up, grapping for things dropping things and then looking for them, switching things from hand to hand. He has aslo just started getting up on his knee's and rocking and moving backwards. My question is, at this stage are they usually quite unsettled? He won't let me leave the room without him screaming the house down. He's gone from waking once a night to wake several times (settled really easily) last night when i went in to get him he was asleep, crying and rocking on all fours. It's seems like he rolls on to his belly of a night then tries to perfect his crawling skills in his sleep.
Has anyone else had this problem???? HELP

Sounds completely normal! My little guy did the same sort of thing. My gp said it's called a skill development growth spurt where the are unsettled until they can perfect the skill and get used to it.
DS was like that for a couple of weeks.
I just tried to help him crawl so that he was learning faster and settled him when he was upset!

A lot of people say that when they are trying new things or learning new things they are generally unsettled! Maybe try getting the wonder weeks app or check it out online it explains some stuff week by week of what bubs is/might be doing!! Good luck xx

I have a 7mth old who sounds similar. From what I've read, they dream of crawling and act it out as they have not yet developed the sleep paralysis that stops older humans from acting out dreams.
We have been having really crappy nights for weeks! With crawling, trying to walk, teething and starting new foods I have totally given up hope of good sleeping for a while! Mind you, the nights weren't great before all this anyway!
Sorry for no helpful advice, but you are not alone Hope someone else is more helpful!

I can assure you that everything your DS is doing is perfectly normal. My DS is 7.5 months and his behaviour was and kind of still is the same... my DS moves a lot in his sleep too and just this morning he was facing the opposite way to what he normally is. He is also very clingy to me and my DH, he doesn't go to anyone willingly and fusses a lot when someone else has him. I dont see it as a problem, its just a milestone they all go through.
